Parents » Information
If website readers are seeking information regarding the extent of parent participation in the Academy's overall program, a later section describes the involvement the Academy encourages. Also in the later sections we present specific examples of how our primary parent organization, Parent Connection, currently functions.
If website readers are seeking a conversation via e-mail iaf@sabis.net, or via telephone, they are encouraged to make the first contact, and Academy staff will respond accordingly.
If website readers would like to read our Bi-Weekly publication "Parent Update", it is located on our homepage.
However, if website readers want information "first-hand", we will arrange a tour of the facilities for a prospective new student(s) and his/her family. (As a courtesy, please call (810) 600-5000 in advance to schedule an appointment.) In addition, we often schedule day visits for prospective students. This typically does not occur until after a short enrollment form is completed and a student has taken a diagnostic placement test.
If readers desire to tour the facilities and meet staff we invite you to attend our various Open Houses (informational meetings) and/or activities that are hosted at The Academy.
If we have not addressed the type of information the reader is seeking, or if we have not listed a method of providing it in a manner suitable to the satisfaction of the reader, please contact The Academy via e-mail or phone and a staff member will contact you to discuss your specific questions.

SABIS® Releases New Report on Closing the Achievement Gap
Encyclopedia - Britannica Online
Did you know that you have access to the new Encyclopedia Britannica Online? Take some time to access this awesome tool that can help your student be more successful in all of their classes. The website presents all information in 3 different ability levels so it is appropriate for students at all grade levels. The possibilities of how to use this are endless. There are games, articles, definitions, maps; the list goes on and on. Students are using it to help with social studies projects, science fair projects, and English term papers just to name a few. Feel free to check it out!
The IAF specific portal web address is http://school.eb.co.uk/storeschoolcard?id=iaflint . When asked for your ID, just enter IAF along with your last name. For example, someone with the last name of Smith would enter IAFsmith. This will take you directly to more information and resources than you will ever need! You can also link to the portal from the IAF website. Just look for Encyclopedia Britannica Online in the Parent Information section of the website or enter Britannica Online in the search bar and it should pop right up.
Feel free to contact Mrs. Beth Kotlark if you have any questions about how to access this incredible resource.
